Q Switched laser is used for the removal of unwanted brown spots, sun spots or tattoos from the skin. The impact of the laser is applied one billionth of a second and leaves pigment on the skin for it to be absorbed and disposed of naturally.

How Could I Know Whether or Not I Need This Treatment?

Q Switched laser is ideal if you have any big or small spots that you wish to remove. We emphasize that this method is effective only for the removal of a few spots. Q Switched laser is also effective for sun spots that are found along the breast area, arms or legs. Q Switched laser is not suitable for pregnant women.

How is the Operation Performed?

In Q Switched laser, the laser energy is used to treat pigmentation of the skin and decrease the appearance of spots. Discomfort during treatment is avoided by having a constant blow of cold air directed on the spots being treated. The removal of a tattoo without an anesthetic is very painful, therefore, we often numb the target area before starting the operation.

What Kind of Benefits Should I Expect?

A single session will get rid of 75 – 100% of a single brown spot. In order to fully neutralize the color, a second or a third treatment may be required.

What Happens After the Treatment?

You will feel a burning sensation within a few minutes or hours following the treatment. The spots will turn red and to undergo complete healing a scab will form. The healing of the scab ranges between 3 – 14 days, depending on how well the area is maintained and the location in which it is found.
